A very successful Autumn National Lunch was held in October at the Hotel Villa Castagnola, Lugano attended by many members from ‘north of the alps’. We were very happy to welcome our President, Angie Meier, Vice President Andrew Konecki and Treasurer Peter Payne along with other members who made the rather long journey down here. The hotel pulled out all stops and produced a very interesting and tasty lunch which was enjoyed by everyone.
Penny and Beverly decided to make the Villa Castagnola their ‘in’ location for annual get togethers, so when deciding a venue for the Christmas Cocktail Party the Villa Castagnola was at the top of the list – and they did not disappoint either. We were able to invite our members into the Sala del Camino where with the log fire blazing, drinks were served and wonderful nibbles were brought around by the waiters who continued to fill our glasses up throughout the evening!
It was a very special evening for all who attended and one that we hope to repeat this coming year.
