The Orchestra, with Soloist Maurice Steger (Recorder) will play works by Anton Heberle, Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven. We are sorry that there will be no concerts in Zurich, but NE Region Members might be interested in attending one of these concerts in Berne or Basel.
Howard Griffiths was appointed Music Director of the prestigious Brandenburg Orchestra, in Frankfurt in 2007 after his 10 years as Principal Conductor of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra.
He has been a guest conductor with many leading orchestras all over the world. In addition he regularly works with youth orchestras, and he founded the Jugend Symphony Orchestra Zurich.
Extremely committed to supporting and promoting young musicians, he has been Artistic Director of the Orpheum Foundation for Young Soloists since 2000.
