Cost: Boat trip:
The basic cost of the Rhine trip (one way) is – CHF 26.40. Children aged 6-16 – CHF 13.20. Tickets to be purchased on the ship. A GA or Halbtax may be used.
Lunch:
The restaurant specialises in Lake of Constance fish dishes.
The current estimate is CHF40-45 depending upon the menu chosen for the group. Drinks should be paid for separately by guests.

Following our very successful vineyard visit last September, Robert Dean is organizing another excursion involving a boat trip down the Rhine from Schaffhausen to Stein am Rhein, to be followed by lunch and an a guided tour.
The event will start at the Schaffhausen Schiffslände (Rhine Dock) and end at Stein am Rhein.
On Saturday 09.09.17 at 9:10h we plan to leave the dock (Schifflände) in Schaffhausen to cruise up the Rhine to Stein am Rhein.

This is a very beautiful stretch of the river which flows out of the Lake of Constance at Stein am Rhein.
The vessel stops at Büsingen, the German enclave, then at Diessenhofen with its famous wooden Rhine bridge and arrives Stein am Rhein at 11:15h.
Lunch in the prestigious Rheingerbe Restaurant has been arranged for 12:00h. The restaurant is approximately 100m upstream from the landing stage in Stein am Rhein and is directly on the quay facing the river.

After lunch a tour of the old town of Stein am Rhein with its world famous wall paintings will be arranged with an English speaking guide. The event will terminate after the tour of the old town.
Both Schaffhausen and Stein am Rhein in the north of Switzerland, are very attractive with important historical connections and are perhaps little known to BRA Members in other parts of Switzerland.  Our September excursion will give you an opportunity to get to know it and also meet with members from the NE Region.
