LUNCH IN FRANCE

The rainy cold weather deterred almost everybody from the planned walk around the lac de Divonne – usually a pleasant, flat stroll with views across the lake to the Jura hills on one side and some horses at the hippodrome on the other – but this made the warmth of the restaurant “La Table du Lac” which was full of guests, all the more welcoming.
BRA Members and friends gathered round two tables, some regular participants from the region, plus Bernard and Jennifer who had come all the way from outside Zurich and Sandra from Aargau.
The excellent light lunch which Pam Walsh had chosen was served impeccably by staff who were alert to any particular request, including for additional wine and for information on its provenance.
Having started about 12h00, it was a surprise to find that almost three hours had passed in convivial good company!
