On 25 February 2019, an agreement on “citizens’ rights” was signed by the governments of the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
This agreement maintains continuity of rights and benefits for UK expatriates living in Switzerland whether or not there is a deal between UK and the EU.
The Swiss Government is working to ensure that the details of the agreement are known at canton and local level throughout Switzerland.
If you do experience local difficulty and cannot contact the Embassy, please let myself or the Secretary know so that we can pass the message on.
