Chaplin’s World

Thirty-three of us from all over Switzerland signed up for the BRA sell-out trip on 20 April to the internationally renowned Chaplin’s World at Vevey. It’s a place my wife and I had been talking about visiting for several years and when I read about the planned visit in the BRA Bulletin it was just the incentive […]

At the Rietberg Museum, 14 April, twelve enthusiastic Members enjoyed lunch, the guided tour of this fantastic exhibition, and later on tea in the sunny Museum Courtyard.  We are very grateful to George Russell for writing this vivid description of the Exhibition.  The Nasca lived in one of the driest areas of the world, in the […]

Ticino Spring Lunch 2018

It was good to see some members from the other side of the Gotthard at our Spring Lunch. For a change the hotel had arranged one big long table for the group. It was fun to all be together, although slightly more difficult to hear those on the other side of the table. Usually, when […]

16 BRA members met at the Kunstmuseum for a guided tour of the first part of the Gurlitt collection. We had a very knowledgeable guide who gave us a detailed lesson in the history and politics in Germany in the years leading to the Second World War. So many things that we had learnt but […]

Fondue Evening

A small group of BRA members and one new person, who discover the BRA on our website, met up at the “Au Vieux Valais” restaurant in Sion old town. We had all come to eat that very typical Swiss dish, cheese fondue. What a great way to start a weekend. We were not disappointed, we […]

Funi’fondue

We had our traditional fondue Neuchaleloise at the Petit Hotel in Chaumont.
The weather wasn’t good, in fact we arrived in thick fog.
The fondue was delicious, the wine flowed and the company was delightful.
