The second visit to the Roche Tower in Basel was once again extremely popular and we had to close the bookings quite early as each tour can only take 20 people.

So, 20 strong we went through the security checks which are really very thorough and then we were taken up by lift to the top of the tower, or rather the 4th floor from the top to the pebble lounge.
We had the most stunning views of Basel, luckily the weather was good and we could see into Germany and France as well as Basel laid out below us. We also saw where the second Roche Tower will be built.

We were shown the conference hall, one of the large restaurants and the open plan offices.
Approximately 2000 people work in this one building.
The tower is 178 meters high and the tallest building in Switzerland, it was designed by the Basel architect firm of Herzog and de Meuron.
Roche is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.
