We had the best table in the house at the Airport Restaurant in Sion, from where we could watch the planes taxiing on the brightly illuminated runway.

Everyone joined in the interesting discussions and useful tips about local activities were shared.

There was an amazing buffet with a great choice of tapas dishes to please everyone’s palette. Along with a vast choice of cheeses and some regional dried meats.
The star of the show was the locally grown asparagus which was served with homemade mayonnaise or as a very tasty risotto with Parmesan and saffron, there was also a freshly made asparagus soup.

We all made numerous trips to the buffet counters !

This was all washed down with an excellent local wine from the Valais. 

Bravo to Deborah for choosing this location and organizing the evening. 

The next Round Table will be on the 7th of May and has been relocated to the Brasseurs in Sion.
