This remarkable 360° degree view from the rooftops of the city of Thun 200 years ago was painted by Marquard Wocher after two visits to Thun in 1808 and 1809. In his studio in Basel he worked on this 185 m2 painting for 5 years. In the mid-1950s it was given a new home in Karl Keller’s rotunda in Thun’s Schadau Park.
