With over 16,000 species of plants, trees and shrubs it is a complete gem and one of the finest gardens in Switzerland. We are privileged to have Hester Macdonald, garden designer and horticultural expert to lead us on a fascinating hour-long tour of the garden, explaining some of its treasures and surprises. Many of you may know Hester from her radio broadcasts on World Radio Switzerland, as well as her books about gardens to visit in Switzerland and France. As feedback from our first Online Apero was very positive, we are planning another one! Meeting online is a safe and easy way to stay in touch while the COVID crisis prevents us from spending much time together in person. Do join us, glass in hand, for some conversation and good cheer. At this meeting, we will discuss how to develop the idea further, perhaps with an online quiz or a thematic discussion. Your ideas are welcome! Event details: As many of you know, meeting up on Zoom is easy if you have a computer, smart phone or other mobile device. When the meeting starts, you click on an email link which Jan will send you the day before the event. Then join in the conversation, glass in hand of course. Please let us know if you would like to join in by sending Jan and Pam an email. Cost: Free Reservations to: Jan Powell on firstname.lastname@example.org and Pam Walsh on email@example.com by Wednesday 28 October please. As soon as conditions improve in our region, and we feel it is safe, we will of course be able get together in person.
