ESPACE JEAN TINGUELY – Nikki DE SAINT PHALLE in FRIBOURG
This event has been cancelled for now ….. We hope to run it at a later date.
Jean Tinguely and Niki de Saint Phalle count among the most significant artists of the 20th century. The Espace Jean Tinguely is in the spacious bright area of the disused tram depot, just a few steps from the St Nicolas Cathedral. Jean Tinguely was a genius of moving art. His sculptures gradually evolved towards works appealing to several senses – sight, hearing, touch, and sometimes even smell. The sophistication and dynamic of his art exert an extraordinary fascination on viewers. The beautifully rounded and harmoniously shaped sculptures by his wife Niki de Saint Phalle delight the eye, her most striking works probably being his lush female sculptures “Les Nanas”
