Leaving Basel by train at 13:01 (stopping in Frenkendorf and Liestal) arriving in Gelterkinden at 13:29.
We will then take the bus at 13:40 arriving in Rünenberg at 13:51.
U-Abo is valid for the entire trip.
From the bus stop it only takes a couple of minutes to reach the Bistro Althaus where we can have a drink for the ones who need it.
Afterwards we walk through the pretty village, enjoy the views and after 10 minutes we reach the open garden of Beatrix and Werner Riggenbach.
The garden is about 2000m2 and is full of roses, a pretty pond and many lovely features and plants to see.
Whilst there, their bistro offers cakes, teas and coffees (a little piggy bank is there for donations).
The bus will leave nearby to the gardens at 17:06 taking us back to Gelterkinden where we catch the train.
The train arrives in Basel at 17:58 stopping en route in Frenkendorf and Liestal.
