Join us for this informal lunch and tea, hosted by British education experts in and around Zurich.
The UK has a long-standing position as a world leader in education and in fact it is a major British export, covering not just world-famous examination boards, language and boarding schools, but the value of wider education. British universities are a magnet for students globally, bringing economic, cultural and educational benefits to the UK.
Our BRA Member Monica Shah Zeeman has introduced a traditional British educational concept to Zurich by focussing on the whole potential of individual students. Masses of children have much undiscovered potential and she believes teaching should not just be confined to the classroom. As an Alumna of Magdalen, Oxford, Monica feels fortunate to have enjoyed an English education. Now she brings her background to benefit Swiss as well as international students.
You don’t have to have problems to benefit, Monica’s view is that all children need these skills. Learn to learn and focus on areas that will boost your marks in key subjects. The Centre also advises on school choice.
Whether you have children, grandchildren or just an interest in the potential development and future of our young people, Monica is happy to welcome you and introduce some key speakers like Robin Hull, Director of the Hull School in Zurich and Melanie Thomson, Deputy Head of Lakeside School, Kusnacht. Bring a member of your family if you wish. As many of us older generation are involved with helping to support underdeveloped or impoverished schools in Africa, India and other vulnerable regions, this event could also be of help to you in the help you are giving them.
Transport: Tram Nr. 8 stops on Klosbachstrasse a few steps from the entrance.
