This imposing building was designed by the architect Léo Chatelain and was inaugurated in 1884. It features an impressive staircase decorated by the remarkable paintings of Léo-Paul Robert (1851-1923).
At the head of the staircase can be seen three beautiful stained-glass windows designed and executed by the British artist Clement Heaton (1861-1940).
The Museum of Art and History in Neuchâtel, houses both temporary and permanent exhibitions, such as the famous automats of Jaquet-Droz, that we will discover during our visit.
