Event Venue

Fondation de l’Hermitage, Route du Signal 2, CH – 1018 Lausanne

Thank you for your event registration. The event organiser will send you a confirmation email, to confirm your reservation.

We are very sorry to announce the cancellation of the visit to the Fondation Hermitage on Thursday 20 May.

This follows a report from a council member who went to the exhibition this week that,  ‘ the visit was spoiled because of the serious overcrowding in some of the smaller galleries inside, where it was impossible to keep to the social distancing rules. Once  through the main entrance, there was no flow control whatsoever between galleries. And of course no natural ventilation ‘. In addition, he reports long queues to enter the exhibition.
All in all, in view of the current Covid situation, we do not want to put BRA members at any avoidable risk.
We look forward to seeing you for lunch on the terrace of the Chateau de Prangins on  June 24th.
Details to follow.

Masterpieces from the Bemberg private collection are on display for a limited time.
This stunning collection includes works by Matisse, Pisarro, Modigliani, Bonnard as well as some older works of art by Veronese, Canaletto, Tournier etc…
The Bemberg family lived in Argentina in the 19th Century, where Georges Bemberg was born.
He became a passionate art collector, and the 132 paintings and drawings on show are amongst the finest in his collection.
