The Kunstmuseum turns the spotlight of Pablo Picasso’s (1881-1973) engagement with art with the Cretan-born Old Master Doménikos Theotokopoulos, better known as El Greco (1541-1614).
In around 30 pairs of paintings, it retraces their dialogue, one of the most fascinating such colloquies in the history of art.
A core set of works by Picasso from the museum’s own collection is complimented by loans from all over the world, many of which have never before been exhibited in Switzerland.
After the visit we will, as usual, meet up for coffee.
