Join us for a rare opportunity to wander along this beautiful area (road is closed to traffic in June).
Start time: 10:30 from Birchwil – Meeting point: junction of Dorfstrasse/Obholzerstrasse 8309 Birchwil. The birdlife, amphibians and flowers are magnificent.
Public transport: Train to Bassersdorf, 660 or 658 Bus to Birchwil stop, walk along Dorfstrasse to junction. Or, train to Winterthur, then Bus 660 from Archstrasse to Birchwil
Parking: is available at Obholzerstrasse 13, Birchwil. Walk is 4 km, easy walking.
You can opt for walk one way or merely join us for lunch at Restaurant zur Rose, Oberembrach, 12:15. – drive to Oberembrach as the Eigentalstrasse will be closed to traffic. A postauto runs from the Airport to Oberembrach. (21 and 51 past the hour, lane P).
Costs: pay for what you consume.
After lunch walk back to Birchwil (4km) for those who wish to see a little more.
End time: around 16:00.
