‘In’ one day, ‘out’ the next The exhibition focuses on the years between 1820 and 1880 during which Géricault, Corot, Daumier, Daubigny, Courbet, Manet, Pissarro and Monet abandoned the approved academic and neoclassicist painting style of the era. Highly controversial in their lifetime, they are now celebrated worldwide.
An interesting exhibition (look it up on the web) on Thursdays at 6 there is a (free) German guided tour which members could take, otherwise the audio guide is in English and they are usually very good.
After the tour we could go again at our own pace with the audio guides.
Diana or Joanna will be glad to greet you and visit the Exhibition together, followed by a chat and drink either in the Gallery ground floor café or in the Kunsthaus Restaurant opposite.
