Eleven members celebrated the Queen’s birthday on 26th June in Neuchâtel.
In spite of the sweltering heat, the gardens at the Hotel du Peyrou were an oasis of peace and cool breezes, and we enjoyed Craig Penlington’s delicious snacks in the shade of the trees.
By the way, he assured us that the Christmas puddings have already been made!
Anne Droz proposed the toast and the only sad touch to a very pleasant evening was that Nigel Coombes wasn’t able to be with us as he is in hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery.
