| The Region’s highlight at the end of 2016 was a most enjoyable Christmas Dinner organized by Pam Walsh and Rosemary Billinge on 14 December and attended by some 40 members. This splendid traditional meal was followed by a fun-filled evening of which encouraged everyone to participate in the true spirit of Christmas; all seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves and even the ‘official’ photographer had a problem at times in holding her camera still whilst laughing at the same time!A challenging quiz was followed by Ted Talbot’s invaluable assistance with the singing and, in particular, his unshakable enthusiasm in leading us all through The Twelve Days of Christmas with people in fits of laughter.
