This event on the BRA calendar was well attended, many enthusiasts were present, thoroughly enjoying the quality of the music.
Each piece was described and introduced by Mr Jean-Pierre Chevailler, Director of the Geneva Arquebuse Brass Band, since over three decades.
The United Nation’s choir complemented the band for a number of classics directed by Kirsty Griffiths.
Her interpretation of “Nessum Dogma” written by Puccini, famously interpreted by Pavarotti, was very impressive and one of the highlights of the concert.
The classics brilliantly sung by the choir were: “O come all ye Faithful”; “Hark the Angels sing”; “Sanctus”; Angel from the realms of glory”; “ Here is Christmas”.
The concert was varied, interpreting pieces from around the world, illustrating the talents of the director and his band.
We look forward to more BRA Members joining us at this venue in 2024.
