The Fork & Bottle Restaurant’s big, shady garden at the edge of Zurich’s Allmend, with a wonderful view of the Uetliberg, was just what we needed on a very hot 6 July! There was a surprise for me as well: In the past the service had all-too-often been, let’s say, erratic but this time it was perfect.
The gastro-pub cuisine, as they call it, has always been very good and the menu offers a wide and varied choice of American, British and other specialities. Nevertheless, more than half of us simply couldn’t resist the fish and chips! Two of us chose the vegetable curry and one BRA member ordered a snack which, mind you, could easily have been as big as some of the main dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and somehow even managed to avoid a lengthy discussion about Brexit. Come and join us next time!
