Fish and Chips was perhaps the main attraction, but 22 of us also enjoyed a really good chat at the british-run Fork & Bottle restaurant at Zurich Allmend.

Joanna gave a brief summary of his extraordinary life.
Born in Vienna in the 1920ies he came to the UK as a “Jewish Kind” in 1939, educated in the UK, joined the RAF, and after the War helped serve as an officer in Germany and Austria, in clearing up the War.
After that his career was in the shoe business, and he became the European Manager for those wonderful CLARKS shoes.
After lunch a few of us continued our conversations during a sunny walk alongside the Sihl river.
