SUMMER PICNIC & CROQUET AFTERNOON
On one of the hottest June days on record, members competed in the 11th annual Romandie-East croquet tournament.
As one BRA Member said ” Even the oldies can play this game “.
It is always a wonderful day because we have our guest of honour, Mr. David Underhill, President of the Swiss Croquet Association to organise and coach us.
The “1st prize” winners were Nando and Alison, the “runners up”, Graham and Margaret.
Tributes to HM Queen Elizabeth made, picnics eaten, laughter, joviality, mallet to ball masterfully consummated (by some), we hastened with some relief to the luxury of our air conditioned cars, tired but contented that the game had been well played, whatever our degree of talent.
