RACLETTE EVENING IN NEUCHATEL

It was with great anticipation and healthy appetites that we went down into Philippe’s carnotzet.
However, we had to be patient: It was our waiter’s first day on the job and he had no idea how to get the raclette machine working.

Finally, before we died of hunger and Joy had completely lost it, blobs of cheese started appearing at the table. Eventually our apprentice waiter got into the rhythm, and we were served to our satisfaction – with the added bonus glass of schnapps.

The evening was topped with a delicious chocolate cake made by Joy for Pat’s special birthday*.
We left feeling we had nevertheless enjoyed an unusual evening.
