From Barbecue to Summer Pic-Nic
A group of heat-resilient BRA Members turned up for this traditional summer event.
Due to the prolonged, extreme drought, the use of open fire and grills of all kinds was not allowed.
So back to the cold Pic-Nic.
It was amazing to see with what imagination simple meals were created.
Although temperatures rose again during the course of the day, there was a light easterly breeze which made the heat bearable.
The hut provided shade for the tables needed.
With lively discussions we contributed to solving the world’s problems.
The US primaries, the woke movement, the war in Ukraine, the climate change and the ongoing battle for the job of prime minister in the UK.
We rounded off with coffee and as always, home-made fudge provided by David.
Save the date: in 2023 the BBQ will be held on Sunday, 13th August.
