Eleven members of BRA from the Ticino travelled by minibus to Monza where we met up with two friends of Mike and Tulay De Morgan for the long-awaited visit to the Capella Teodolinda, the Duomo and its Museum.
Due to a general strike in the transport system we had the museum, the duomo and the Capella to ourselves . We also enjoyed discovering the old centre of Monza, with its caffés and restaurants.
We then walked beside the the tranquil river Lambro and crossed the bridge of lions, built upon the ruins
of the Roman bridge of Arena to go to our lunch at the Osteria Cavallari.
After another short walk to digest our lunch we boarded our minibus for the drive back to the Ticino after a pleasant day out.
