| The visit to the Gardens of the World exhibition at the Rietberg Museum in Zurich on 28 July went well with a reasonable attendance. We joined a large group with a German speaking guide but in the end most people made their own way around since the exhibits were well described on both English and German signs. After about one and a half hours our group gathered at a table in the court yard to relax over a snack lunch. General impressions were that all were pleased with the visit and enjoyed looking at the items on display. The only criticism was that not enough had been made of the beauty of English gardens and such famous gardeners as Capability Brown etc. Robert Dean |
